Meeting Notes

The NMCC President’s Cabinet met at 10:00 a.m. on September 13, 2010, in the president’s conference area.  Present – Tim Crowley, Barry Ingraham, Larry LaPlante, Jason Parent, and Diane Peters.

President Crowley reported that the preliminary enrollment figures show a decline in the fall enrollment.

President Crowley distributed information and announced that the Northern Mobilize Maine Cluster will meet on the NMCC campus on September 14 in the Edmunds Conference Center.

President Crowley presented a brief update on personnel issues. At this time, the college is advertising for a medical assisting instructor.

Larry LaPlante reported he is working on the campus crime report and will meet with the Presque Isle Police Department for clarification of reported crimes on campus.

Larry reported that the process of transfer of bookstore funds is still an issue.

Barry Ingraham responded that the issues with the bookstore transfers have been resolved.

Jason Parent reported that the development office’s focus is on the Fall and Winter Expo; the employee recognition luncheon scheduled for October 8, and the Construction Hall of Fame ceremony on October 21.

President Crowley noted that he wanted background on issue of the impact of NMCC, UMPI and UMFK being an agenda item at LEAD.  Who initiated this discussion and what is its purpose?

Barry Ingraham announced that there will be a construction meeting at 2:00 p.m. on September 15.

Barry also reported that the air handling unit is online in Andrews Hall.

The winter/spring schedule deadline is October 1,

President Crowley will schedule a meeting with Leah Buck and Jason Parent to discuss a marking plan for the training being offered in CED.

President Crowley will be on vacation October 14-21, 2010.

The meeting was adjourned.
