· Election of a new chair
Nancy Cowett, Chairperson for 2010-2011 resigned as of October 17, 2012 and Dave Raymond was elected by the committee for the chairperson for 2011-2012.
· Approval of minutes from March 16, 2011 meeting
These minutes were tabled for the next curriculum committee meeting. A copy of the minutes will be emailed to each committee member for review.
· Arts and Sciences Department
The following proposed revisions were introduced to the committee by Dave Raymond:
BIO218-Microbiology Lecture & Lab modify prerequisite to: BIO114-Human biology w/Lab OR BIO130-Anatomy & Physiology II w/Lab.
BIO120-Anatomy & Physiology w/Lab DROP prerequisite BIO114-Human Biology w/Lab
These items are tabled for the next meeting.
· Allied Health & Nursing
· Daryl Bouchard introduced the new program proposal “Community Paramedicine Concentration Associate in Science Degree”. This program will expand the role of EMS personnel and also will train the first responders at the appropriate level to serve communities more broadly in the following areas: Primary care, Public health, Disease management, Prevention & Wellness, Mental Health and Dental care. The program proposal is tabled for the next meeting.
The program proposal will be brought to the next Advisory Committee meeting on November 2, 2011 The next Curriculum Meeting is scheduled for November 3 at 3:00 PM, 3rd floor of the Martin building conference room.
