Agenda Item: Approval of Minutes October 25, 2010

The following amendment to the October 25 curriculum minutes:

Under 2.1 The new course Solar Thermal replaced DRR117-Blue Print Reading NOT DRT117-Basic Computer-Aided Drafting.

            Minutes for the October 25 meeting was approved.

Agenda Item:  T/T Energy Auditing & Solar Thermal

It was moved, seconded and approved to add the following new courses to the curriculum:

TECXX-Energy Auditing -  Fall 2011 (This course will replace PLH217-Propane & Natural Gas)

PLH1XX-Solar Thermal -  Fall 2011 (This course will replace DRR-Blue Print Reading)

 

Agenda Item: Arts & Sciences Proposals

 

It was proposed by Dave Raymond to add a new Humanities course HIS2XX-Religion in America. It was also suggested to add ENG111-English Composition as a pre-requisite for this course

 

It was proposed by Jan Greico to make the following course title changes:

 

1. ENG010-Developmental Reading to Reading Fundamentals

2. ENG012-Developmental Writing to Writing Fundamentals.

 

Agenda Item: Other

 

            The group discussed and agreed that all curriculum items proposed for the 2010-2011 academic year must be approved by the Curriculum Committee by February 15, 2011.

 

The next scheduled Curriculum Committee meeting will be November 29 at 3:00 p.m.
