The committee moved, seconded and approved the New Program Proposal:

Para-medicine Concentration Associate in Science Degree

Tim Crowley congratulated Kim Esquibel and Daryl Boucher on the impressive meeting he attended on “Community Para-medicine Advisory Meeting” held on November 2, 2011. 

Arts & Sciences -

• The following agenda items were tabled for the next scheduled Curriculum Committee meeting:

BIO218-Microbiology Lecture & Lab modify perquisite to: BIO114-Human Biology w/Lab OR BIO130—Anatomy & Physiology II w/Lab

BIO120-Anatomy & Physiology w/Lab DROP prerequisite BIO114-Human Biology w/Lab

More discussion is needed. Greg Thompson will be invited to our next meeting to explain his view of the above proposed changes.

• Dave proposed to revise ENG223-Oral History, HIS203-Religion in America, PHI206-World Religions and COM210-Mass Communications, to change the prerequisite ENG111-English Composition of each of the courses to a co-requisite. Tabled for the next meeting

The committee moved, seconded and approved name change for HIS123-U.S. History , 1600-to 1865 to HISXXX-History 1500 – 1865.

Business Technology

Medical Coding Curriculum Revision tabled for the next meeting.

The next scheduled Curriculum Committee meeting will be November 17, Thursday at 3:00 pm, 3^rd floor conference room of the Martin building.
