CAMPUS SECURITY CAMERAS   Barry Ingraham reviewed and explained campus security cameras that are currently being used and discussed the proposed expansion of the system on campus to increase campus security and safety.  Provided a demonstration of current system.  President Crowley stated that a sub committee of the campus safety committee is currently meeting to create a campus policy to present to senior management.

Chuck Kelley distributed handout of T/T faculty issues (3/1/10) regarding the security camera issues.  Also stated he had received other comments from other faculty with different prospective (in favor of) the proposed installation.  He applauded the efforts of the sub committee and thinks that discussion and input helps.

The proposed system will not be used as an evaluation tool.  Will hopefully have draft from sub-committee for our next Fac/Mgt meeting.

LARGE CLASS COMPENSATION   Continued discussion regarding issue.  Will be a “one time only” and done on a class by class basis. Chuck and Nancy will send email to faculty for input and Chuck and Tim will meet to finalize list of faculty to get compensation under large cap proposal.

ACADEMIC CALANDER  Discussed the proposed 2 year academic calendar. Nancy Cowett discussed potential scheduling issues surrounding certain holidays and night classes. Will meet with Dean Egeler prior to next scheduled meeting and report back to committee with draft.

OTHER ITEMS   Chuck Kelley distributed handout of Faculty “discussion points”.  Issues such as  class capacities having “crept up” over last few years. Chuck stated that the 2005 document will be used as the baseline.

Meeting Adjourned.

Next meeting March 19,2010.
