The committee “debriefed” on the Administrative Day held Thursday, January 12th. The consensus is that the day was well received and a success. Some of the formal and informal feedback included: · Need to do better job making sure staff are aware that the day is for everyone (not just faculty) · 45 minute time blocks may be too short · Post presenter materials in a Prof Dev folder on the shared drive · Offer follow-up sessions or lunch & learn series o Using the technology available on campus o Creative assessment o Engaging unsuccessful students o ADA o Residential Life tours o Copyright/plagiarism The committee discussed ways in which we could remind employees to update their professional development forms (i.e. a monthly e-mail reminder?), and also the benefits of using the form, for the employee and for the college.
