Meeting was called to order by President Crowley.

President Crowley asked Carl Allen to walk the safety committee through the Safety

Works report.

As Carl reported on each item he gave an update on whether the item had been

handled yet or not.

As items are completed, they will be sign off on the master list keep by Carl

Carl mentioned an additional list of items that were discussed by the Safetyworks

inspectors. These items were not included in the items addressed in their letter, but

were identified during the walkthrough. That list will be forwarded to everyone for

review.

The President asked that we review that list at next meeting for status report.

Around the table:

Bill was concerned for staff in remote offices.

Brian requested looking at parking lot lighting, he thinks we have some dark areas that should be reviewed.

Brian included wind power equipment at next visit for the crane inspection contractor.

These documents will be forwarded to Carl, after they are completed by the

contractor.

Brian requested review of the Emergency Action Plan and staff training. a) Carl is working on updating the current plan. Policy will be separated from the phone lists and checklists.

Linda Mastro attended to discuss the first aid kits currently in use throughout the

buildings.

Linda does not think the current kits and inspection process is workable due to

her workload. (1) She doesn’t have time to count the individual items in each kit that are

brought to her. 2) The expense to replace items is more that the cost of kits, if the replacement

variety of needs at different sites on campus. (1) Linda would also like the number of First Aid Kits reduced.

(2) Linda will work with Carl to review the various kits required and the

contents of those kits.

6) GFCI receptacles for vending machines — see #7 on Safety Works report. Larry will

attempt to get something in writing from the vendor.

7) Brian suggested extending the current 3 ft area in front of panels to 4 it. on electrical

panels as that is the “Are Safe” zone

room and the old frame machine pad eyes need to be filled in.
