NMCC President’s Council
Meeting Notes
February 8, 2008

The NMCC President’s Council met at 8:30 a.m. in the Edmunds Conference Center on February 8, 2008.  Present – Tim Crowley, Wendy Bradstreet, Chuck Brown, Brian McDougal, Ron Fitzgerald, Leah Buck, Brian McQuade, Robert Smith, Tom Richard, Peggy O’Kane, Jennifer, Graham, Karen Gonya, Jackie Nadeau, Sonja Fongemie, Alan Punches, Jason Parent, Barry Ingraham, Larry LaPlante, Patrick Beaulieu, and Diane Peters.

President Crowley distributed copies of the purpose of the President’s Council and presented an overview of the purpose of the council.

Barry Ingraham and Robert Smith presented an overview of the Instant Alert System and a demonstration of the system.  They described what the implementation of this system will mean to individuals and to the college.  There was also discussion on how this system could be used.  While there could be many uses for the system, there was concern expressed that if the system was used for too many tasks, it would lose its effectiveness as and emergency system.   The group also discussed the best way to implement the system. The consensus was that the best course was to implement the system sooner rather than delay the implementation.

The next meeting of the President’s Council will be at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, February 29, 2008, in the Edmunds Conference Center.
