1.    Approved Minutes

 

It was moved, seconded and approved the minutes from the November 22, 2010 meeting

 

2.    Bus. Technology - New Course introduced: Keyboarding Fundamentals

 

Dwight will need to revise the course textbook information on the course syllabus before the committee votes to approve. This item is tabled for the next meeting.

 

3.    Trade & Tech – New Course introduced: Airbrushing Techniques and Graphic Design

 

Brian needs to make the following revisions before the course can be voted on:

 

1.    The proposed Prefix AUT2XX should be ACR2XX

2.    In the catalog description, need to add “prior painting experience is necessary”.

3.    The course syllabus on page 1 under Scope: states Program Goals needs to be changed to Course Goals.

 

 

4.    Trade & Tech – Name change for the course SUR211-Surveying

 

Brian introduced a course title change for SUR211-Surveying to SUR2XX-Construction Surveying. The item is tabled for the next meeting.

 

5.    Trade & Tech – Revision in the Computer Aided Drafting Technology Program (AAS & Certificate

 

Add MAT125-College Algebra as a requirement to the 1st semester of the CAD Technology Program. Change the sequence of PHY150-Physics in the 3rd semester and PHY215-Statics & Strength of Materials in the 4th semester.

 

6.    Other

 

Dwight Clayton mentioned a new proposed course – Health Record Management that he will bring to the next Curriculum Committee meeting. Also Brian has a name change for a plumbing course.

 

The next scheduled Curriculum Committee meeting is the week of January 31st.
