1. Old Business – Minutes from October 15, 2007
The Curriculum Committee meeting scheduled for November 5 was canceled. The minutes from the October 15 meeting were moved, seconded and approved.
2. Arts and Sciences Department – New Courses
The following Arts and Sciences Course Proposals were discussed, evaluated and tabled for a vote until the next scheduled meeting:
PHIXXX – Everyday Ethics
HIS2XX – Maine History
COM2XX-Mass Communications: Media and Culture
ENG0XX-Reading Basics Review
ENG0XX – Basic Grammar Review
MAT0XX – Basic Algebra Review
MAT0XX – Basic Math Review
A Curriculum Revision Form was submitted requesting to remove the pre-requisite” of ECE195-Field Experience in Early Childhood Education II for registration in ECE197-Experience in Early Childhood Education III.
It was suggested that signature lines be added to Course Proposal Form.
The committee was reminded to continue its work on any revisions for the new catalog.
Meeting was adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
The next scheduled meeting will be December 10, at 2:00 p.m.
