Charge:    This committee is charged to facilitate smooth, efficient and collaborative operation between the various campus offices and to communicate necessary revision to the appropriate campus constituency.

1.         Approval Minutes March 14, 2007

           

            Minutes of the 03/14/07 meeting was moved, seconded and approved as amended.

 

2.         Recommendation for a receiving room (Packages)

           

            Frank Boone’s storage room (located on the 1st floor of the Christie building) is in the process of being          cleaned out and being replaced for a pick-up area of all packages being shipped in. (This will help the     clutter of packages that is on the floor of the hallway) Tim, Larry and Barry are working on this     recommendation.

 

3.         Parking of NMCC Vehicles

 

The committee raised an issue concerning the NMCC Vehicles taking up staff/faculty parking spaces. The NMCC vehicles have their own designated parking area. A memo will be will created and addressed to Larry LaPlante regarding campus vehicle parking.

 
 4.        Phone System (Name Pool)
 

Shawn gave the committee a copy of is listed in the phone “pool” and explained how the caller goes thru the phone system and gets to the “pool”.

 

Nikki e-mailed all users in the “pool” for setting a date for training for the users in the “pool”, in the e-mail she is asking for input or questions for the training.

 

The committee had a question for Barry on whether rotating the users in the “pool” could be done on a yearly basis. Shawn will check with Barry Ingraham and return feedback to the next committee meeting.

  
  

5.               Lack of absence of communication within/between office and/or departments. (More to discuss)

7.       The next Campus Communications meeting is scheduled for April 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m, on the third floor of the Martin building, conference room.
