NMCC determines that one semester credit hour is earned for each 750 minutes of classroom lecture instruction with approximately two hours of out-of-class-work for each academic hour (50 minutes) of lecture. For laboratory work, one semester credit hour is earned for each 1500 to 2250 minutes of laboratory instruction with appropriate study and laboratory report preparation performed as homework.
