Charge: The charge of this committee is to develop and implement a comprehensive assessment plan for determining institutional effectiveness.  The committee will examine existing assessment practices and strategies, and will explore, propose, implement and analyze new ones.  A primary function of this committee is to communicate ongoing and proposed assessment activities to the campus community

Assessment Goals

Assess student academic achievement at the classroom, program, and institutional level.

Continue to develop and analyze measurable competencies and/or outcomes for all courses and programs.
Promote and implement capstone projects/courses which assess key competencies.

Develop and maintain a centralized data collection, analysis, and reporting process.

Sustain and promote an institutional climate which values assessment as a necessary component to continuous improvement.

Provide assessment training and professional development opportunities for faculty, staff, and administration, and assign this with a high priority in professional development funding decisions.
Communicate assessment results to the campus community clearly and regularly.

Utilize assessment results to determine program/institutional planning and budgeting.

Link assessment results to program action plans.
Utilize assessment results to address MCCS and NMCC strategic planning initiatives.
Provide data-driven support for curricular implementation and revision.
Provide support for grant proposals and other funding initiatives.

Assign dates for the annual assessment reports
