Phi Theta KappaStudents achieving a 3.5 or greater cumulative grade point average while enrolled in a program of study at NMCC may be invited to join Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two year colleges. To maintain membership, the student member's cumulative grade point average may not fall below 3.25. Phi Theta Kappa members receive leadership skills developed through campus and community projects in addition to special recognition throughout the year and at graduation Student SenateThe Student Senate is the official student voice on campus. As such, the greater the participation in the Senate, the greater the credibility of its position(s). Senate members are representatives from each major program of study. All students, whether or not they are Senate members, are encouraged to attend Senate meetings. Alpha Beta GammaStudents enrolled in a business curriculum at NMCC who have completed 15 credit hours in courses leading to a degree recognized by the college and have established a 3.0 or greater GPA may be invited to join Alpha Beta Gamma, an international business honor society for two year colleges. Alpha Beta Gamma recognizes academic excellence and sponsors academic functions on campus. |
