A student successfully completing this program will be able to do the following:
Analyze financial data.
Evaluate business transactions to record journal entries that demonstrate knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Demonstrate knowledge of current accounting practices.
Demonstrate knowledge of the accounting cycle.
Demonstrate proficiency in the preparation of financial statements.
Analyze financial statements.
Demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of federal taxation.
Utilize knowledge of accounting and taxation theory into actual practice.
Prepare individual tax returns.
Prepare business tax returns.

knowledge and use of terminology of an accounting professional.
