Introduction
 
This Handbook contains select policies, procedures and guidelines of both NMCC and the Maine Community College System and related information with which NMCC employees should be familiar.  It is expected that it will be in an ever-growing and dynamic state of development.  As revisions and additions to the Handbook are made, updates will be made to this site.
 
This Handbook is organized for ready-access to information.  In some sections NMCC and MCCS policies are integrated.  An established number and tab system is explained below:
 
TABS-  Policies and procedures are appropriately categorized into these sections:

Introduction

Personnel (6100-6199)

Academic Affairs (6200-6299)

Student Affairs (6300-6399)

Business Operations (6400-6499)

Administrative (6700-6799)

NUMBERS-  The NMCC policies and  procedures numbering system follows the format used by the Maine Community College System.  For example:

NMCC #6245:01 Use of Facilities

  6 identifies NMCC
   2 identifies the tab (Academic Affairs)
     45 identifies the policy area
       :01 identifies the specific policy
