Colleges and Universities

NMCC graduates have many options to continue their education to the baccalaureate level and beyond.  Students should be aware that transfer credit is the decision of the receiving institution. 

Some receiving institutions have agreed formally to award NM graduates advanced standing and other advantages such as guaranteed admission.  Among the opportunities available are:

• AdvantageU (a transfer program between the Maine Community College System and the University of Maine System)
• University of Maine at Presque Isle
• University of Maine at Fort Kent
• Husson University
• Unity College
• Nursing agreements between Maine’s schools of nursing
• Guaranteed advanced standing for business technology department graduates through the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)
