Northern Maine Community College currently offers transition agreements in the following major and related courses:

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY

SAE 121  Industrial Safety

Credit for SAE 121 is available through either dual or articulated credit.  Industrial Safety is a required course for students enrolled in the following NMCC programs of study: 

Automotive Collision Repair
Automotive Technology
Diesel Hydraulics Technology
Electrical Construction and Maintenance

Plumbing and Heating

Precision Metals Manufacturing

Residential Construction

Students must be enrolled in a secondary trade and technical program of studies, meet all competencies, and complete a recognized 30-hour OSHA training course. For more information about completing the process, contact the director or a career and technical instructor at the secondary school or the On Course for College coordinator at NMCC.

Please note: opportunity to receive advanced standing in a given program is dependent upon the student:
1. Enrolling in a participating secondary program, and
2. Completing the required elements of the agreement.
