Northern Maine Community College currently offers transition agreements in the following major and related courses:


COMPUTER ELECTRONICS
 
COE 114  Operating Systems MCP
 
Credit for COE 114 is available through dual or articulated credit.  Students must be enrolled in the secondary electronics/computer servicing program, meet all competencies, and complete the Microsoft 70-270 examination with a passing score.  For more information, contact the director or instructor at the secondary school or the On Course for College coordinator at NMCC.
COE 115 Security+ Preparation

Credit for COE 115 is available through dual or articulated credit.  Students must be enrolled in the secondary electronics/computer servicing program, meet all competencies, and complete the CompTIA Security+ examination with a passing score.  For more information, contact the director or instructor at the secondary school or the On Course for College coordinator at NMCC.
 
COE 125  Computer Networking Hardware 

Credit for COE 125 is available through dual or articulated credit.  Students must be enrolled in the secondary electronics/computer servicing program, meet all competencies, and complete the CompTIA Network+ examination with a passing score.  For more information, contact the director or instructor at the secondary school or the On Course for College coordinator at NMCC.
 
 
COE 135  Network Administration

Credit for COE 135 is available through dual or articulated credit.  Students must be enrolled in the secondary electronics/computer servicing program, meet all competencies, and complete the Microsoft 70-290 examination with a passing score.  For more information, contact the director or instructor at the secondary school or the On Course for College coordinator at NMCC.

COE 214  Implementing and Managing Network Infrastructure
 
Credit for COE 214 is available through dual or articulated credit.  Students must be enrolled in the secondary electronics/computer servicing program, meet all competencies, and complete the Microsoft 70-291 examination with a passing score.  For more information, contact the director or instructor at the secondary school or the On Course for College coordinator at NMCC.

COE 215 Planning Network Infrastructure
Credit for COE 215 is available through dual or articulated credit.  Students must be enrolled in the secondary electronics/computer servicing program, meet all competencies, and complete the Microsoft 70-293 examination with a passing score.  For more information, contact the director or instructor at the secondary school or the On Course for College coordinator at NMCC.

COE 224 Advanced Computer Electronics
 
Credit for COE 224 is available through dual or articulated credit.  Students must be enrolled in the secondary electronics/computer servicing program, meet all competencies, and complete the CompTIA A+ examination with a passing score.  Students earn credit for both COE 224 and COE 225 by earning A+ certification.  For more information, contact the director or instructor at the secondary school or the On Course for College coordinator at NMCC.

 
COE 225 Advanced Computer Electronics Lab
Credit for COE 225 is available through dual or articulated credit.  Students must be enrolled in the secondary electronics/computer servicing program, meet all competencies, and complete the CompTIA A+ examination with a passing score.  Students earn credit for both COE 224 and COE 225 by earning A+ certification.  For more information, contact the director or instructor at the secondary school or the On Course for College coordinator at NMCC.

Please note: opportunity to receive advanced standing in a given program is dependent upon the student:  
1. Enrolling in a participating secondary program, and
2. Completing the required elements of the agreement.

Proper academic and career preparation is essential to success. Different programs require and/or recommend different high school course work.  We've developed model programs of study to help guide your planning and courses.  Remember:   these are just models; interested students should review this model with a guidance counselor or advisor and modify to suit individual needs.
